Humanely Raised

Happy N’ Healthy Small, Medium, Large beef bones and Organic pork bones are Animal Welfare Certified by Global Animal Partnership.  Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.) is a non-profit organization that develops comprehensive animal welfare standards and works with independent, third-party certifiers to audit and certify the farms and processing facilities meeting these standards.

At Happy N’ Healthy, we care about the compassionate treatment of all animals. That’s why by 2025 we plan to have our beef and pork bones  certified by a meaningful animal welfare certification recognized by the ASPCA®’s Shop With Your Heart® program. We’ll share our progress towards this important milestone yearly. We currently have multiple products already audited by G.A.P. and look forward to sharing more of our work with our supporters soon.

Sustainably Sourced

If you are a dog owner, you probably want to give your furry friend the best treats possible. But have you ever wondered what makes dog treats from sustainable sources better than regular dog treats?

Sustainable dog treats are made from ingredients that are grown or raised in ways that do not harm the environment, animal welfare, or human health. For example, sustainable dog treats may use organic grains, fruits, and vegetables that are free of pesticides and GMOs. They may also use meat, eggs, and dairy products from animals that are fed a natural diet, treated humanely, and not given antibiotics or hormones.

Sustainable dog treats have several advantages over regular dog treats. First of all, they are healthier for your dog. Sustainable dog treats contain more nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants than regular dog treats. They also have fewer additives, preservatives, and artificial flavors and colors that may cause allergies or digestive problems for your dog. Sustainable dog treats can help your dog maintain a healthy weight, boost their immune system, and prevent diseases.

Secondly, sustainable dog treats are better for the planet. By choosing sustainable dog treats, you are supporting farmers and producers who care about the environment and animal welfare. You are also reducing your carbon footprint and minimizing waste. Sustainable dog treats use less water, energy, and land than regular dog treats. They also produce less greenhouse gas emissions and pollution that contribute to climate change.

Finally, sustainable dog treats are more ethical and humane. By choosing sustainable dog treats, you are showing compassion and respect for the animals that provide the ingredients for your dog’s snacks. You are also helping to prevent animal cruelty and suffering that may occur in factory farms or slaughterhouses. Sustainable dog treats promote animal rights and welfare by ensuring that the animals are treated with dignity and kindness.

All of our dog bones come from cattle that have been raised from birth with the following standards:

  • Without the use of antibiotics or added hormones
  • Follow humane raising practices
  • 100% vegetarian diet and without any animal by-products in their feed
  • On ranches that practice sustainable agriculture and good animal management.
